Watched the first episode, The Body, today, if you can call The Body an episode that is; seeing as it's essentially a feature-length movie. Then again so are many Black Mirror episodes. Anyway, I'm less than impressed and I'm more than disappointed. Especially with how every character in it, including the hitman, makes one or more idiotic decision during the movie/episode. There are a few good things about it though. The best characters are women. The effects aren't too bad. Although, I didn't really care much for the hitman's diatribes. Well, mostly. They just felt like they belonged in another movie altogether. Nothing quite gelled for me, to be even more honest. Kind of all over the place, tone-wise. I'm hoping the rest of the series is way more promising.

Flesh & Blood was better, but still ham-fisted. Dermot Mulroney chews the scenery way more than he should. He should have dialed it back. The story called for more mystery surrounding who committed the murders. Instead it goes obvious too quickly. Still, my favorite one so far.
Pooka is the best visually, but not altogether an original story. The ending leaves a little to be desired, and, again, the lead actor could have shown more than one emotion. Still better than The Body, though.

I think the Valentine's Day episode is the last one of these I watched. I need to catch up on this series. Not great by any means, but Blumhouse is still delivering good things every now and then. However when quantity outweighs quality it shows. Still hoping the rest of the movies/series have gotten better in writing, directing, and acting. Tall order, I'm sure.
